ABOUT TWIN CITIES METRO BAPTIST ASSOCIATION

As described in our “Welcome” statement on the Home page, the vision of the TCMBA is to “Develop Communities of Missionaries.”  These communities being the congregations that make up the association.  For a congregation to become a  “Community of Missionaries,” it must have a vision that supports being on mission and partners that help to reach this vision. This is the role of the association: to partner with churches of the association to help them embrace a vision of becoming a community of missionaries and also to help resource that vision.

How this plays out TCMBA Vision Illustration is illustrated with this graphic.  Developing communities of missionaries of our congregations involves coming along beside them to help resource their visions. To do this involves partnering with them for church transformation and development of a mission passion.

To provide handles for this process, churches are invited to enter into a covenant relationship with the association. The ingredients of this covenant can be viewed by following the link, “What is A Covenant Church?”  Through the covenant both the association and the church agree to certain elements designed to get at church transformation and mission passion. It is the primary avenue for resourcing church vision.
