An Encouraging Word...
Christmas is all about gifts. The ultimate gift is God giving us His Son, Jesus. As a pastor, a shepherd, a minister and servant leader, I often wonder what gift and gifts will I give this Christmas season to the church God has called me to serve.
Over the past 26 years of having the privilege to serve as a youth pastor, associate pastor, a church planter and senior pastor, God has helped me understand that a few of the best gifts I can give the church I serve is a healthy pastor, a healthy marriage with my wife and a healthy family with my four kids.
This is one of the key missions of the TCMBA, Twin Cities Metro Baptist Association. To come alongside pastors, planters, their marriages and families to support, care and encourage to be as healthy as we can be in the presence of Jesus. Over the years we have had the privilege to walk with pastors and planters through many families challenges and experience Jesus' presence, help and healing.
"Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it." 1 John 1:2-3
We exist to team up with the Send City Coordinator and Church Planting Catalyst to provide equipping and encouragement as you pastors and planters are serving and growing your churches.
It is an honor for me to team up with Joshua and Gerardo to plan and implement all of the Send Network events throughout the year. The three of us have a similar heart and passion to reach the Twin Cities for Jesus Christ through healthy churches and healthy church plants. That is why we work together to accomplish more together.
We also exist to pray and encourage you, your family and your ministries in order to let Jesus do all that He desires to do to build His church among us.
If you have any questions, concerns, needs and prayer requests please let me know.
May Jesus preach through you powerfully this Christmas season. May more and more of the believers in your church be closer to Jesus and more refreshed in Jesus to impact the world around them. May those far from Jesus connect with you, your people in order to find out more about Jesus.
Seeking to serve, encourage and pray for you,
Pastor Chris Reinertson
Pastor of Southtown Baptist Church
