Phase One: Church Strengthening

TCMBA is now entering phase one of the Strategic Focus Cities process which is a preparatory phase for phase two, which is the main Strategic Focus thrust. The preparatory phase is aimed at church strengthening and addresses the needs of individual churches and their ability to reach their communities.

Every church of the association is invited to participate in this church strengthening process which has three steps:

Diagnosis - In this first step of the church strengthening process, each pastor will be interviewed to discover the vision of their church, where they are in accomplishing that vision and what is needed to move forward in accomplishing it. Pastoral interviews will take place May 22-23, 2006. Each pastor should have received an information packet to prepare them for this interview. Click here to download the packet in a PDF file.

Prescription - July 24-25 representative of the association, state convention, NAMB, and Lifeway will meet to review the church diagnosis and make a prescription to address the needs discovered there. This prescription will launch the next step, which is treatment.

Treatment - This step involves application of the Prescription to the Diagnosis. The length of treatment is flexible and will be dependent on how long it takes for the treatment to begin showing progress.
