Phase Two: City Reaching

The difference between Phase One and Phase Two is illustrated in this diagram:

The bursts within the circles represent churches and the circles represent their surrounding communities. Phase One addresses the churches and their ability to reach their communities.

The cross-shapes respresent the gaps between the churches and their communities. This is the focus of Phase Two which is City Reaching. It attempts to address the gaps in the city which are not being reached by the present churches. In this phase their will be a great effort at church planting to place churches in those gaps. Evangelism will also be another great effort of this phase through evangelistic events and activities.

For a sense of what Phase Two is about, follow this link to the Cleveland Hope web site. Cleveland is just beginning Phase Two of SFC. Churches of our association will be partnering with Cleveland Hope churches and events and your churches encourge to join others in our association in these partnerships. This will be a great opportunity to help them and also learn how SFC can benefit our city.
